A partition on a hard drive can be deleted as it is not currently in use. If Windows is installed on the partition you want to delete, you will not be able to as you are logged into Windows. You may only able to delete all other partition. To delete a partition on a hard drive, follow the steps below.

- Press the Windows key or click the Start button.
- On The Search Bar Type Create and format hard disk partitions, and then press Enter.
- You should see a window open like below.
- Locate the partition you want to delete.
- Right-click on that partition and select the Delete Volume option from the drop-down menu that appears. Note: If the Delete Volume option is grayed out when right-clicking, the partition cannot be deleted.
- A pop-up message will appear to confirm that you want to delete the partition; click Yes.
- Once the partition has been deleted, it will be listed as Unallocated space.
